Welcome to the RNVR Cricket Club Website
The Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Cricket Club (R.N.V.R.C.C.) was formed shortly after the conclusion of the Second World War and has been playing its cricket in Berks, Bucks, Surrey and Sussex since then.
Originally comprising retired and able seamen it now relies on an eclectic band of people from all walks of life. However, the club ethos remains the same - to provide friendly Sunday cricket played in the spirit it should be. The club has no home ground but plays a fixture list honed over many years in some of the nicest villages within the Home Counties. The club has a very popular tour to Sussex in the first week of August where it has played some of the sides since its inception.
If you want a decent game, in a picturesque setting, played with an assorted bunch of amateurs (and semi-retired league cricketers), then this is the club for you. Everybody gets a game, and we always try to win by at least 1 wicket, or preferably 1 run.
