Match report A fine innings by Charlie Crichton ably assisted by all batters saw RNVR home with relative ease in the 24th over of a 40 over innings.

A 51 stand for Hardman and Saunders was a very fine start.

Oppo Fixture Sec, Matt Parsons, supremo of Sussex youth, withdrew to allow extra youth to be drafted in.
Father and Son pairing of Webb and Harman topped and tailed the innings batting together for the first time, and for the Webbs, bowling together too.
Young Oscar Harman is a promising leg-break bowler who was encouraged to bat today to allow confidence that will, we are sure, allow him to break into the Sussex side in time. With 34 off the first 5 overs there was no sign of a slouch or inability.

Consistently poor wicketkeeping (PV) leaked the most byes this season, not helped by the Paddington bear stare that replaced foot movement, and James Massey was denied a wicket by sloppy glove work. Catches were taken, but the nail vanish so in use a year ago (Day 6 of 7 day Sussex tour) was not at the ground.
