Match report David Thornton, at 90 was still more mobile than many of his team mates, made an appearance for RNVR at Forest Green 55 years after his last one here.
A delightful ground with a splendid pub over the road, was a new fixture for the rest of us. RNVR put up a brave effort to get to the total set by Forest Green.
Led by Vinay Kumar and Will Thornton with the bat, both having equally significant impact when bowling earlier. They were ably supported by Theo Hughs and Alex Beard with some late order rallying.
The wrong end of the result but a splendid location and game to sign off the season.
