Match report After navigating though a labyrinthine sports complex, the RNVR arrived at Club Des Sports in Acton to contest a T20 with the Chelsea Arts Club. CAC won the toss and sent the RNVR into the field, and our spin-heavy attack got to work against an aggressive CAC top order. Wood and Bridges snared 2 early wickets each, and despite the short off-side boundary being targeted with early regularity, the innings was evenly poised at 70/4 off 12 overs.

Cue an inspired bowling change to bring on J Pym in the 13th. Not content with a clean bowled off his first delivery as an RNVR player, he followed that up with 3 more clean bowled's, a stumping and a caught at long off for the last man, to bring up the not so unremarkable figures of 6-20 off 3.3 overs. We can only imagine what his figures might have been if there were more batsmen and he could have bowled those last 3 deliveries...

As the RNVR innings started, Massey and Hewens looked solid. And after Hewens went caught behind, Vallance carried on the good work with some crunching drives down the ground, before getting caught after hitting the ball straight into square leg's chest, who somehow managed to catch it as he fell to the ground post the loudest thud of the day. All that was left was for Priddle to make a mockery of the short boundary with 3 maximum's, and with Massey shepherding us home with a fine 47 red inker, the RNVR ticked off their first win of the season.
