Match report Hottest day of the season so far definitely > 32 sweltering degrees.
Skip for the day Ben Dale sorted details of game and timing of pit stops - 45 over match.
RNVR started well with an early wicket of Max Evans by metronomic Tex Warnes caught shortish point by wicket keeper and Match Manager Reza Maroof.
This was followed by an intense fast bowling spell by Vinay Kumar to get the snick off Outwood's First XI wicket keeper / opening bat Ashley Middleton only for the same wicket keeper Reza Maroof dropping a regulation catch - only blip on the field by a truly impressive RNVR fielding and bowling side.
Ashley Middleton was dismissed soon after much to the relief of wicket keeper with another piece of incredible cricket , square cut hard and low off James Bamford and diving grab just off the grass by Mike Saunders - amazing
Dru Tunstall was caught by a skier which was super impressive Mark Pepler at mid on off an equally impressive spell of bowling by James Bamford who ended the day with an amazing 6-3-7-3.
Lucas Evans was dismissed by a sharp chance by Ed Hewens off James Bamford.
2 superb catches one hit extremely hard and direct to Tex Warnes to dismiss David Baldry and and a skier by Tom Matthews off Will Buckland who moved Tex off the spot where the catch was finally caught much to his amusement and kidology.
Truly impressive and chance less Will Blease 98 , brutal Mansur XX Hafeez 51 n.o. and David Baldry 31 took Outwood from 78/5 towards in the 21st over to reach the final score of 273/7.
MOTM Mike Saunders took another sharp C&B chance again off the pitch to dismiss and sadly deny Blease of a century.
Lunch brought respite from the searing heat at the end of 45 overs.

RNVR reply was measured with openers Mike Saunders and Reza Maroof through to tea break at 99/0 off 18 overs.
After tea, Reza Maroof scored a contentious 4 signalled by umpire and duly reached 50 before being dismissed by just clipping the off stump bail by Will Blease 2 balls later with the score at 103 off the 19th over.
Contentious as the scorecard was later amended by the Outwood scorer whilst Reza Maroof was back in the hutch, reinstated back here with Skippers authority on the RNVR site.
Some resistance from Ed Hewens 27 and Tex Warnes 10, but the run rate required sharpened making it difficult for incoming batsman which eventually left Tom Hillman 13 n.o stranded on the 44th over with Buckland DNB due to feeling ill and Davinder Ranu AWOL.

Ended the day with much needed rehydration/refreshments and a famous award winning BBQ supplying the burgers and sausages - oh and halloumi as the veggie option
