BHCC looked to be as strong as last year and skipper PV set about building a total with the aim of taking 10 wickets. Vinay opened to a mesmeric and four slips.

Won the toss but couldn't resist a 35 over game.

Would have been happy to declare at 175/180 but by then Dr Sinha, making a first game since 2009 had arrived late and missed the briefing about optional declaration at 50, and was very close to 100 (84*).

Reza has made 50 retired two years running. He broke a tile on the pavilion roof in his six fest partnership with Manas (100+ before he retired)


BHCC restricted the first 10 overs to 17 runs as JVP, RB & TH struggled to move very slow bowling off a very slow pitch.

Ditchling awaits and after 2nd Lions Test watched at Varco's with the rain outside and supper at the Red Barn under MM Crichton's thorough organisation, with Ford, we are ready to do battle.....
