Match report To replace the loss of Oxshott - we were obviously given notice - we picked up Banstead via the fixture exchange. Over the years we played them we only once didn't play on their 1st XI pitch.

It was the only venue that felt like walking on a sprung carpet. It was an amazing venue, with a wonderful history.

I do remember the first three batsmen visibly relaxing into their innings as they realised what a wonderful wicket it was. Indeed Ford had been reluctant to play and I'd twisted his arm, he was glad.

Manas had a runner on 28 (Rob Kimber). I'm not now sure how that worked as no one had batted at that point.
