Match report Probably rather a tense chase....after CCC possibly opened the game up a tad too much....

Cronin was 9th out, and Miller 8th - which is not easily reconciled with the scorebook batting order! Cronin had been due to bat at 4, but dropped to 9, Cook was listed at 10 but came in at 8. Snelling may have been a late replacement for one or two people and was inked in at 8, batting at 11. Good job he played........in the circumstances

Lunch 1.31pm - 2.31pm
Taken at the fall of Cook's wicket, at 69 for 7. Petitpierre had bowled one over before lunch, a double wicket maiden, and rather muddled things up for the RNVR! His other over ended the Cronin/Miller

Davies, who may well have been skipper only bowled after lunch and while not expensive seems to have allowed a period where a score was made as,
RNVR 8th Wicket of 75 between Cronin & Miller, batting very late, would have been the highest at the time, and is now only 2nd to Richard Holliday and Paul Thomas (89) in 1992.

Tea 4.47pm- 5.14pm, with Petitpierre and Halstead batting, 4 wickets down

Petitpierre had been down to bat at 9, Cobley at 4 and Cahill at 5

Halstead/Bowring 51 for 7th wicket which fell at 7pm, 6 minutes before stumps, which was Cook's last over. No runs were added after that and Snelling finishes with a maiden,

RNVR possibly bowled 25 overs in the last hour to chase victory.

Thornton's over was very late (both Cook & Snelling were onto a second row of bowling analysis before he is introduced, but it's not shown when either of them were taken off, but the they both were as both finished the innings.
