First mention of Ian Bond.

A rare Cuckfield day with an 11.50am start and lunch taken at 1.15pm - 2.30pm, (Sergeant 37*, Prince 18*) that the first wicket didn't fall until 3.05pm!
At 88-1 a true RNVR was platform created . This would remain the highest opening stand for almost 40 years at Cuckfield, until broken by Liddell & Allen (162 in 2002, the only one over a hundred). There are only 5 in total over 50, and this remains the second best in 70 years. Sergeant's and Prince's innings are therefore likely the among the longest for the club. PJS's joint highest score so far recorded.
