The RNVR's favorite Ditchling player - Searle, misidentified as Pont, or rather the other way around, or was MRS usurped mid run up. Anyway it confused VP Crichton.

Searle opens and loses 4 colleagues quickly to be 12 for 4, before Johnny Norfolk comes to the crease.

The first over that his father, long time Landlord to the RNVR - forcing his family to move out of course - bowls at him only costs six. The second however is 5 sixes and then a dot.....Obviously he needed a third, only 13 from that, 3-0-50-0

Johnny Norfolk came to the crease in 7th over (12-4) the match was finished in the 19th. His 88* consisted of ONLY 18 scoring shots 3 xfour and TWELVE 6's......! Partnership of 120 with Searle (26)
