Match report An Amazing match.
I felt very aggressive declaring after 33 overs, there was plenty more time to bat, and we lost.
It was, in my defense a large score - albeit on a small ground, and history shows that at the time it was the RNVRs highest ever score - and this an afternoon game.
I probably felt that I couldn't open with Speedman and Buckland in the circumstances, to give everyone a game.

I don't think I ever did it again!

Oh, and at this point in time, the third wicket and indeed all-wicket partnership for the RNVR is held by Jonathan Speedman and William Buckland (165*)!! I'm not sure that anyone would get that in a quiz!
Buckland really was a remarkable talent and destructive bat, not that he owned one at this point
