Match report Re-reading this, it is as staggering as it looks, especially if one considers that Manas was not usually a very slow scorer himself.
The first wicket falls at 4 and the second at 23, so it's a 151 partnership - at the time this is the highest by any wicket ever. I have no idea of time, despite being the scorer I failed to note down the end of the match. Its 24 overs so approximately 96 minutes, which makes it a touch before 7.30pm

As there were 16 extras and a max 12 in this partnership, Manas added between a maximum of 25 and a minimum of 13 to the total......

While not recording times, I was noting balls bowled and Gerry's 50 took 58 balls, including a maiden played out, and his 100 took a FURTHER 28 balls (86 in total). The innings was 94 balls........

A former skipper remarks that that as an eager participant at the Nuptials the day before of Dr and Mrs Ford (with AGH on drums at the party in the evening) he is surprised that Dr Sinha was able to stand, let alone bat on Sunday afternoon.
