Match report I sent this card to Geoffrey Longfield, who celebrated 70 years as a player for CCC in 2020, playing every year that I have since 1992, and at 86 has had enough match days that he couldn't remember this match winning one!
He went on to write (email 18 April 2020); "I went into the Army on 15/8/1953 and must have played in one of the RNVR games in the period 1951-53. I have no memories of the 1976 game which is surprising because my partner in the winning stand was Graham Pateman rivalling Tim Peacock as our best allrounder!"
