Match report Opening game of the 1976 Season , SGCC still at the Atkinson Morely Hospital ground in Wimbledon, clearly a belter. Having the hosts at 35 for 3 with Kibble on form and future Presidents Hensher and Crichton both holding catches it all looked good, but strong 6th and unbeaten 7th wicket partnerships saw the total to 210 and RNVR never really appear to have been in control, especially with 4th bowler Howard rattling to a 5 for in 45 deliveries. Hensher may have had a golden duck. Strong batting from DBC in only the second scorecard on record bodes well for the future.....6 fours and 4 sixes. Remarkable. And probably all scored in the V.
