Match report Belated match report.
I've only just realised I was Captain.
All I remember is feeling a lot out of my depth, apart from captaining a game in early 2007, I'd done precious little in 4 full years and felt very rusty with the challenge. I felt I knew what to do with the jigsaw pieces of Steve and Charlies P & C, and Mike Craddock but the rest of the side were almost unknown to me, incredibly young, talented and enthusiastic and I was over 40!

I relied far too much on Fergie and realised that I would struggle if I had to do it all again, so I didn't. I'd never been fitter having run 3 marathons in the last 6 months, but nothing else much worked. I feared for my future.

Massey jnr was a handful to captain, and so unlike his brother! It took me a while to realise what a wonderful chap he is.

I didn't know how to motivate and encourage what was not my team. Sorry chaps!

Th ereult should have been weighted more in our favour with a little magic.
Incidentally and sadly I've not been back to CDCC since.
