Congratulations to Charles Crichton on passing his latest milestone.
Against Hurstpierpoint on Sunday 9th July 2023 he became only the second person in the Club's history to score 6,000 runs.
Charlie made his debut in September 1988 at Waltham St Lawrence as an 18 year old. He is recorded as having played the most matches for the Club.
Bill Allen is still the leading run scorer, passing 6,000 runs in 2007 at Cuckfield and remarkably reached 7,000 also at Cuckfield in 2013 with his last run of his last innings there!
While both Charlie and Bill suffer from lost scorecards in 92/93 it is believed that they could not possibly be matched by any player in the club's long history, for many years of which there are no known record.
