Aptly named on St Patrick's day we wish many happy returns to founder playing member of the cricket club, Sir Patrick Sergeant. At 99 he is the only known living player from our first season.
Our incomplete records show him having played until 1966, with a highest score of 96 against Middleton in 1952 and nearly 1,500 runs, plus two very cheap wickets!
He was invited to be a vice president by Arthur Hensher for the 1999 season.
